Retailer gives you full control of where & how receipts are printed, but you must first configure your printers on each POS terminal.
These features require the appropriate printer drivers/software to be installed on your computer.
Configuring POS Printing in Retailer
- On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Setup -> Point of Sale.
- Click on the Terminals tab.
- In the Receipts section:
- In Receipt Type, select the type of printer for receipts.
- In Printer, select the brand/make of the receipt printer from the drop-down box.
- In Port, select the connection type used by the receipt printer.
- Tick Use Printer Driver.
- In Driver Name, select the receipt printer driver name from the drop-down box.
- Tick Add Logos to Receipts, if required. Click HERE to learn more about receipt logos.
- Tick Print Extra Details on Receipts, if required. Click HERE to learn more about stock extra details.
- Click Save.
- Click on the Report Mapping tab. The screen should already be populated with default settings. If not, follow the steps below to add them.

To add additional printing options:
- Click on the + button.
- Under Report Type, select the type of receipt.
- Under Qty, enter the number to print.
- Under Friendly Name, type in a name for the printer. This is optional and only appears if you multiple printers for the same receipt type.
- Under Code, type in the terminal code for the printer. This is only used for Multi-store users with Terminal Services selected under the Printer option.
- Under Printer, select the printer driver from the drop-down box or one the options below:Choose PrinterAllows you to choose a printer when the receipt type is generated.PreviewAllows you to view the receipt on-screen before printing it out.Terminal ServicesUsed for Multi-store users that access Retailer using a Remote Desktop Connection.
- Under Template, select the receipt style from the drop-down box.
- Repeat the steps above for each receipt type that you want to print.
- Click the green tick icon to save the changes.
- If you select A4 or A5, select the printer from the drop-down box and go to Step 4.
