Setup Gun Traders integration

Retailer can connect to the Gun Traders marketplace through Tower Web Connect. Products setup in Retailer can sync to Gun Traders, reducing the data entry requirements.

Request Gun Traders API Details

Contact Gun Traders to request your Dealer Code and API Secret.

Create TWC Connection

  1. Login to the Tower Systems website: https://towersystems.com.au/login
  2. Click Tower Web Connect
    1. You can also open Tower Web Connect directly at: https://twc.towersystems.com.au
  3. Click Create New.
  4. For Name, enter Gun Traders.
  5. For Weblink Group Number, select 29.
  6. For Connection Type, select Gun Traders.
  7. For Domain, enter: https://api.guntraders.com.au/api/v1/integrations/tower/feed
  8. Enter the API Secret provided by Gun Traders.
  9. Enter the Dealer Code provided by Gun Traders.
  10. Click Save.
  11. Click the Test Connection Details button. A pop up will appear in the bottom right corner.
    1. If the popup show Invalid Connection, check the Domain, API Secret and Dealer Code.
  12. Click the Enabled toggle to activate the connection.
  13. Scroll down to Resources and tick Product.
  14. Click the Save button at the top of the page.

Retailer Setup

  1. Close and reopen Retailer
  2. From the Main Screen of Retailer, click on Tasks → Weblink Full Sync and wait 10 minutes.
  3. After 10 minutes, click on Stock Maintenance → Group Management.
  4. Down the left hand side, click Gun Traders.
  5. Click the Add button.
    The default criteria, Webstore Enabled = Yes will be added
  6. If you wish to further limit the products listed on Gun Traders, it is recommended to add a Tag to the criteria.
  7. Click Save.
  8. Retailer will generate a stock file and send it to Gun Traders within 10 minutes.
Notes
The time to complete a full sync depends on how much stock you've flagged to go through.

Products and Sync Management

You can check your sync progress on the Tower Web Connect site. https://twc.towersystems.com.au
Click the Gun Traders connection then click the Syncs tab.

Web Description and Images

The Web Description and Images of products will display on the Gun Traders Marketplace. There are a number of tools in Retailer that can help setup Web Descriptions and Images:

Bulk Editing Products

If this is your first time listing products online then you can read our advice sheets about using the Stock Manager to make this process more efficient. The specific setting you want to tick is called Web Store Item. For images, you can use the bulk image import function.
