Category and Segment Performance Report
The Category and Segment Performance Report will compare your sales by Category and Segment over a date range. The Report will Rank Categories, Segments and Stock Items by Quantity Sold, Gross Profit, Total Sales or Percentage of Returns.
Segments are an additional level of product categorisation under the Retailer Department and Category structure. The Hierarchy is Department -> Category -> Segment. They are used by Magazine and Card Suppliers for more detailed reporting of product sales by Sub-Category. This report is therefore not used outside of Newsagency businesses.
Segments are set by importing a Supplier Stock File from certain Suppliers. See the relevant article for steps for your Supplier.
