Magazine Deliveries moving to 1 Day per Week

Several newsagencies around Australia will soon be receiving all magazines in a single weekly delivery, instead of the typical 2 days per week. If this change happens to your newsagency, you will need to change the delivery days of many of your magazines that were formally arrived on Thursdays so that they appear on the correct day for your customers and subagents.

Not making the changes to the magazine settings, when the magazines get delivered on a different day can result in data failures with xChangeIT.

The easiest way to do this is to use the Stock Manager to update all magazines in your system to arrive on the same day. To do this, follow the steps below:

1. On your MAIN computer/server, in the main menu of Retailer click up the top to Stock Maintenance -> Stock Manager
   
2. Up the top, click Remove -> Remove All, then click Search
   
3. In the search screen, select your MAGAZINES department in the Department or Category drop down menu. Click Search down the bottom.
   
4. You should see a list of all your magazines appear. Click one of the magazines, then click Edit Selected up the top.
   
5. In the options on the right, scroll down until you find 'Item Arrives On'. Change the day here to the day of the week your mags are delivered on.
   
6. Scroll further down and find 'Subagent Pref. Day'. Change this day to the same one as above.
   
7. Click Save up the top. Please note that saving this change can take up to 10 minutes, depending on how many mags you have and how old your PC is. Even if Retailer shows (Not Responding), be patient - it will finish eventually.
