Change Printing between Colour and Black & White

Retailer uses the Windows Printer Preferences when printing reports and receipts to determine if the document should print in Colour or Black & White.
There are no separate colour settings for printing in Retailer.

These steps are applicable to Windows 11. If you use a different version of Windows, the screens and steps may be different.
  1. Close Retailer.
  2. In the bottom-left of the screen, click on the Start / Windows button.
  3. Type in 'Printers'.
  4. Click the 'Printers & Scanners' option that appears.
  5. Click the Printer you wish to Print to.
  6. Click 'Printing Preferences'.
  7. Look for a setting that refers to Colour. Choose between Colour, Black & White or Grayscale.
    Note: the exact setting required will vary by printer model.
  8. Restart Retailer. Retailer should now print using the new Printer settings.
    Note: Report and Receipt Previews will still display in Colour.
