Sharing A Printer

To share a printer complete these steps on the computer where the printer is installed.

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Without clicking anything else, type in 'control'
  3. Click Control Panel
  4. Click on Devices and Printers.
  5. Right-click on the computer you want to share and click on Printer Properties.
  6. Click on Sharing.
  7. Tick the Share this printer tick-box.
  8. Click OK.

Connecting to a Shared Printer

Repeat the following steps on each computer to install the printer

  1. Click on Start.
  2. Without clicking anything, type in 'network'
  3. Click on View network computers and devices
  4. Double-click on the computer name that the printer is connected to.
  5. Right-click on the printer you want to connect to.
  6. Click Connect
  7. When the printer is installed you should see a box similar to the one below:
