Once labels are queued, the Barcode Manager serves as your central control hub for reviewing, filtering, and executing the final printing.
The Barcode Manager organizes labels into two distinct queues.
Toggle Screens: Use the Show Barcodes button for product labels and the Show Shelf Labels button to view shelf-specific labels.
UI Shortcuts:
Stock Info: Double-click any item in the grid to instantly open its Stock Screen.
Grid Customization: You can hide or rearrange columns using the Changing Columns function to streamline your view. See Changing Retailer Screen Columns for details on how to do that.
Queue Status: The top of the screen displays "unprinted=" to show how many labels are currently waiting to print in the list.
Before printing, look over your list to avoid wasting label stock.
Edit Quantities: Click directly into the QTY column to change the number of labels for any specific item.
The "Printed" Status: Only items marked as No in the Printed column will be sent to the printer. When first queued, labels start with No as the Printed status.
To reprint a label that was previously printed, click the field to change it back to No.
Use the Reset button to change the entire list back to No.
Print Sort Order: Use the options at the bottom (e.g., Print in Arrival Order, By Description) to change the order of the labels printed on the sheet.
The Delete Record button can be used with clicking on an item in the grid (highlight), to remove that item/label from the queue.
The Clear Queue button can be used, if the grid contains printed labels from previous print jobs (marked as Printed - Yes). Choose the option to clear them from the queue. This leaves only the new labels to print and makes it easier to review them.
In multi-location or staff environments that want to use multiple queues, these tools allow users to divide up the labels further.
Print for Operator: Choose this option in the Sort order, and select your assigned Operator Number at the bottom of the screen.
This hides all other labels in other Operator Numbers.
Crucial: When this filter is active, the Print, Reset, and Clear Queue buttons only affect the labels assigned to your operator number.
Custom Search: Click the small arrow in any column header and select (Custom...).
Select the criteria in the box on the left, then enter the word or number in the box on the right. E.g. Under Description, choose Contains and enter "toy" to filter items with "toy" in the name.
You can use AND/OR logic between the criteria lines to filter specific items by combinations of those criteria like name, price, or keyword.
Note: Custom filters only change what you see on the screen; they do not restrict what the Print or Reset button do. So they will still print or reset all labels in this queue.
Ensure your printer is loaded with the correct stock before proceeding.
Executing the Print:
A4 Printers: Click Print (ensure sheets are in Portrait orientation).
Label Printers: Click Print Label Printer (specifically for Zebra/dedicated label printers).
Automation: Tick Auto Print when queue full if you want Retailer to trigger the printer automatically once a full A4 sheet of labels is reached. It's often better to leave this unticked.
Invoice Headers: Tick Print Invoice Header Label to print a divider label at the start of each invoice batch that makes it easier to distinguish labels from each invoice.
Clearing the Queue: After a successful print, click Clear Queue to delete the printed records. Remember that if an Operator filter is active, only labels in that queue will be cleared.
Adhesive Warning: Never put an A4 label sheet through a printer if any labels have been peeled off, and do not reuse A4 label sheets that have already been through the printer for the same reason. Exposed adhesive can melt onto internal rollers, causing permanent damage.
