The Label Manager in Retailer is specifically designed for jewellery labels and allows users to control the printing of these labels.

For printing barcode stickers as opposed to jewellery labels, click HERE. You may first need to enable the barcode manager by following the steps HERE.

Enabling the Label Manager

To begin using the Label Manager, it needs to be enabled first. To do this:
  1. From the main screen of Retailer, click on Setup -> Point of Sale.
  2. Then click on the Terminals tab.
  3. In Label Printing Options, select Label Manager.
  4. Click Save and Close.

Label Manager Options

There are a couple of ways to access the Label Manager:

  • Click on Stock -> Label Manager from the main screen of Retailer.
  • Click on Stock Maintenance -> Label Manager on the top menu bar.
The grid at the top shows the labels that are queued up to print. The Barcode Printing Options allow you to select the order the labels are shown and printed in.

The function of the remaining buttons is listed below:
  1. Reset:                         Resets the Printed status of all labels to No.
  2. Delete Record:          Deletes the selected label from the queue.
  3. Print:                          Prints all unprinted labels.
  4. Clear Queue:             Clears the entire queue of labels. You will be given the option to clear all labels or only labels already printed.
  5. Label Setup Utility:   Allows you to add additional labels to the queue. Click HERE to learn more.
  6. Printer Settings:        Allows you to select which printer to use.
  7. Move Labels Right:   Re-positions the labels to the right by a set amount.
  8. Barcode Settings:      Allows you change the details that print on labels. Click HERE to learn more.
  9. Move Labels Down:  Re-positions the labels downwards by a set amount.
  10. Preview Test Page:    Creates a preview of the first label in the queue.

Printing Jewellery Labels

To print out labels:

  1. Add labels to the queue using the Label Setup Utility, through the Stock Screen OR through the Invoice Arrivals screen. Click on each option to learn more about them.
  2. Select the order in which the labels print out under Printing Barcode Options (optional).
  3. Click Print.
