Credit Card Data in Retailer

In the past, we allowed you to store customer credit card data for various convenience related reasons.  However given recent hacks etc it is no longer feasible to allow you to store this data against customers in  Retailer.  In version 3.2 this data will be permanently deleted as part of loading the update. 
If you are still using the stored credit card data you will need to migrate this data to another service that can store this data securely before loading the update. 
Our recommendation is that you use Stripe (https://stripe.com/au.)   We use this service ourselves and have found it to be easy to use and very secure.

New Integrations 

  1. Barcode Lookup - This new facility allows, while adding a stock item allow you to query an external service barcode lookup service and if the item is found it will then allow you prefill the item saving you valuable data entry time.   While this service does have a cost for us to access we are providing it free to customers that opt in.  However once we get a feel for how many customers are using the facility and the costs associated we may introduce a nominal fee for accessing our link to this service to offset the costs.  Please see advice HERE.

  2. Smartpay Integrated Eftpos - This new EFTPOS integration works in both Australia and New Zealand and is also compatible in Multi Store scenarios.  To facilitate the Smartpay module we have enhanced Retailers surcharging to increase sales values based on the surcharge calculated from the Smartpay terminal.  The integration with Retailer is fast and very easy to complete.  Please see advice HERE.
  3. Background Removal - We have partnered with 2 companies (remove.bg and removal.ai) that offer image background removal. Removing the background from images can turn quick photos snapped with your phone into a professional website ready photo. Both companies require that you have an account with them and purchase credits to be used for each image removal.  Remove.bg also has the ability to replace the just removed background, with a colour to match website branding.  Once integrated, simply right click on the image you want the background removed on.   4. Allotrac integration - This new integration contained in our Dispatch module, allows for you to send and schedule your deliveries directly with Allotrac.  Allotrac is a cloud based transport management system for managing medium to large delivery business.  Advice on the link will be released once the integration is certified.
  5. CentrePay - We have added the ability to import Payment files from Centrepay.  Payments are imported against invoices and applied to oldest invoice first.  

New Features

  1. New End of Shift
    1. New Interface - We have redesigned the End Of Shift screens to give you additional information similar to what was available on the new insights dashboard.   
    2. Performance - We have made the End Of Shift faster to save you time at the end of the day. 
    3. Staff Comparison Report - We have added an option to include the staff comparison report on the End Of Shift so you can see the staff performance for that shift. 
    4. Stock Listing Report - We have added an option to include the stock listing report on the End Of Shift so you can see the stock on hand by Department & Category as of the End of Shift time.
    5. Detailed Shift Sales Report - Added option to show Department categories
  2. Archiver - Customer Removal - Added the ability to remove inactive customers from your data.  Please ensure you keep and isolate a backup before undertaking this procedure just in case some records are needed again.  Please see advice HERE.
  3. Security Bridge - We have added the ability for you to feed basket details to your CCTV System as you scan items into your POS.  This will give you feedback as to what is happening when reviewing footage on your CCTV System. Please see advice HERE.
  4. API Connection Page - Added an API connection page that details most of Retailer's external connections and the API settings for each. See HERE for a list of integrations.

Other Changes

  1. Barcode & Label Manager
    1. Better support for smaller (eg more rows and columns) labels on A4 Labels.
    2. Fixed an issue with the barcode Style being selected incorrectly when adding a new Jewellery label. 
  2. Customers
    1. Find Customers Screen - To aid in searching all phone numbers will have spaces removed so you can type in the number when searching in a consistent way.  
  3. Orders Maintenance
    1. Performance - Fixed several performance issues with this screen for larger data.  
  4. Order By Sales -
    1. Set Qty - Added a new option to this facility to set the Qty to be orders to be the Desired Level - Current QOH.  This means the Order by sales can be used now to facilitate both sales based reordering and trigger based reordering.  
  5. POS
    1. Discounting - Issue with multiple dept and Cat discounts in one sale not being identified is resolved.
    2. Refunds - An issue with refunds to non account customers has been resolved
  6. Quote and Invoice Management
    1. Pick Slips - You can now show the delivery date on the pick slip.  
    2. Discount - A Total discount calculation has been added to the totals. 
  7. Repairs 
    1. Fixed error being caused when saving notes into a repair
    2. Job Cards - Re-adding the ability to merge customer job cards
    3. Job Cards - Corrected an issue job cards showing jobs in the wrong order
    4. Delete - Fix stock QOH issues when deleting repairs.
  8. Reports
    1. Stock Listing Report - Re-added the ability to export stock the stock listing report to CSV
    2. Ranked Sales Report - You can now both include and exclude stock that
    3. Staff Comparison Report - Has been re-written to be faster. 
    4. Detailed Takings Report - Fixed an issue with the display of items with Decimal Qtys 
    5. Detailed Takings Report - Fixed an issue when reporting on items via tags with spaces.  You can also now report on more than 801 items.  
  9. Stock
    1. Manufactured Goods - An issue with the cost not being re-calculated on an autobuild items is resolved.
    2. Department & Category Markups - We are adding the ability to allow you to specify, by department and category, both a Trade and Web Price markup to be used then adjusting prices. 
    3. Variants - You can now update and change the item that is considered to be the Main Variant Stock item
    4. Variants - You can now add new Variants from the invoice arrivals screen.
  10. Valuations
    1. Changes on the template to increase the character limit
  11. Weblink and Ecommerce Changes
    1. Images - Changed to ensure that images are re-sent when default image changes and that all images are sent should any image for an item change to ensure your website is always accurate.
    2. Department Web Store Stock - We have removed the option that automatically ticks an entire department as a web store items.  This functionality has been superseded by Stock Manager and the new weblink groups facility.
