In Retailer, there are some ways of sending out different types of emails in bulk, to customers, for specific areas.
While there isn't a way to send out a generic email notification to all customers, emails can be sent out in the following areas in bulk:
Customer / account statements
Customer and account statements can be generated for groups of customers and sent by email.
The text in the email can be changed or customised for specific messages, if appropriate.

Along with that, the customer statements have a space to print a custom message, which can be used for certain notifications or announcements, like a change in the business bank account.
In the Customer Statements screen (found under Customers in the main menu at the top of Retailer), there is a section called Comments, where you may enter short messages that will be printed/displayed on the customer statement itself. These will appear near the bottom of the statement, just before the Remittance and Payment details. These message should be kept to 2 sentences or shorter.
Email statements may also attach documents or files, which can be used for additional messages or notifications.
So you may draft a message as a text document in PDF or similar, and attach to the statement email.

Subagent dockets
Subagents are fairly similar to customers, and they can receive delivery dockets by email that can have messages added to them.
In the Subagent Dockets screen, under the options for selecting subagents and information display, there is a Messages box where a short message can be entered.
This message will appear in the dockets that print or email to the Subagent, in the top section to the right of the subagent's details.

Customer invoices for the same customer
The invoices/receipts for transactions under a particular customer can also be sent out in bulk.
This will only do it for one customer at a time, and is done from the Customer screen, while viewing the relevant customer account.

Other features
Besides this, the Marketing Tools can be used to generate a list of customers with email addresses, for use with Marketing campaigns. The file can be produced and given to a marketing email provider like MailChimp.
