This report can show you the sales numbers across different stores, allowing you to compare how well they are doing, at the department level.
The report will only be available for Multi-store sites.
Generating the Report
From the main screen of Retailer, click on Reports → Sales Reports → Store Performance Report at the top.
There are a few options you can set for the report:
- Date Range - Select the Start and End Date of sales transactions to be included in the report. E.g. select July 1 2020 to start, and June 30 2021 to report on Financial Year 21.
- Select Stores to include - Click on the individual store to include in the report.
To select multiple stores, you can click Select All just below, to highlight all stores, or you can hold [Ctrl] on the keyboard and click the stores you want to include. Highlighted stores will be included when the report is run.
Other options:
- Show Department Sales Totals per Store - When ticked, it will show all stock departments and their relevant sales numbers, regardless if there were any sales in those departments. When unticked, it only shows the sales totals for each store overall.
- Exclude Home Delivery & Subagent Orders - Tick to exclude any customer delivery orders and subagent orders (for newsagencies).
Reading the Report
The Report will group the following according to each store location included on the report, and also display departments if the option is ticked:
- Total Sales - Total dollar value of sales transactions in this period
- Quantity Sold - Total number of items sold for the store or department
- Gross Profit ($) - Gross profit in dollar value of items sold (Sell price minus Cost price of items)
- Gross Profit (%) - Gross profit in percentages, of items sold
- Annualised Sales to Inventory Ratio (labelled as Stock Turnover) - A ratio based on the sales to inventory value on an annual basis for the selected period. Useful for comparing the same departments between stores. The higher ratio in a store vs the other store for a particular department can be caused by a lower stock holding, higher sell through rate or both.
This is calculated as (Total Sales / Stock Value) / (365 - Selected Date Range).
- Stock Value - The total value of Stock on hand in that location (and that department if the option is ticked)
Exporting the Report
You can export any of these report to either a PDF document or Excel spreadsheet by using the Preview button and following the below steps:

- Excel spreadsheet - Click on the Print button at the top left. Tick 'Print to File' and select 'Xlsx Data File'. Click on the three dots button [...] to choose your save destination. Click OK to save the file.
