Setting Up Roam V2 - Dashboard

Accessing Dashboard

When you first login to Roam, the Dashboard page will open.
If you need to switch back to the Dashboard from the Roam POS Screen, follow the below steps
  1. From your Roam POS screen click on the hamburger menu button in the top left corner.
  2. In the menu sidebar, click Dashboard.
From the Roam Dashboard, choose between the following options in the sidebar:
  1. Dashboard - Shows Statistics on Roam Sales this week
  2. Products - Shows details on stock items from Retailer
  3. Departments - Shows details on Departments from Retailer
  4. Customers - Shows details on Customers from Retailer and customers created in Roam
  5. Sales - Lists sales performed in Roam
  6. Suppliers - Shows details on Suppliers from Retailer
  7. Point of Sale - Switch to the Roam Point of Sale
  8. Image Management - Switch to Roam Image Capture
  9. Settings - Open the Roam Settings page. See below

Roam Settings

General Settings

Cash Managed Payment Method. Choose the Payment method to use for Cash Transactions.

Payment Methods

  1. Click Add Payment Method.
  2. Enter a Name for the Payment Method.
  3. For 'Select Payment Method', select the Type of the Payment Method.
  4. For 'Select PayType', select the corresponding Retailer Payment Method for this Pay Type.
  5. Click the Toggle next to 'Enabled' to Enable/Disable if you wish to prevent the Payment Type being used.
  6. Click Save.
Once you have added a Payment Method, you need to enable it for each Roam Terminal you wish to use it on. This can be done from the Terminal Settings below or from the Roam Point of Sale Settings.

Receipts

By Default, Roam starts with 2 Receipt Templates, A4 and Thermal Receipt
If you wish to add additional receipt templates, click the Add Receipt button
Click a Receipt Template to change it's settings
  1. Under Receipt Logo, click Upload Logo to add an image to your receipt.
  2. Enter a name for the Receipt Template.
  3. If you wish to add a message to the top (below business details) of your Roam Receipts, enter it in the Header box.
  4. If you wish to add a message to the bottom (under barcode) of your Roam Receipts, enter it in the Footer box.
  5. Settings Name can be left blank.
  6. Use the drop down box to choose between Thermal and A4 receipt styles.
  7. Click the Toggle next to 'Enabled' to Show/Hide this Receipt Template in the list of available Receipt Templates in the Roam POS Terminal Setup list.
  8. Click the Toggle next to 'Display Customer Details' to Show/Hide Customer Details from the Receipt.
  9. Click Save. Click Back.

Locations

This is where you can manage which Retailer Locations are visible in Roam.
Click on a Location. You can change the Name of the Location in Roam or click the Toggle to Enable/Disable using the location in Roam.
Do not change the Retailer Location Key unless instructed by Tower Support.

Terminals

This is where you can manage Roam Terminals.
If you wish to add additional Roam Terminals, click the Add Terminal button. There is a limit to how many Active Roam Terminals you can have.
Click a Roam Terminal to change it's settings:
  1. Name - Enter a name for your Roam Terminal. Sales will Import to Retailer with this Terminal Name.
  2. Invoice Configuration - These settings control the numbering of Sales performed on this terminal. The Roam Sale Number imports to Retailer as the Order Number. Zeros will be added to the Invoice Sequence Number to make the length of the Roam Sale Number (including prefix and suffix) at least 10 characters.
    1. Invoice Sequence - The Number for the next sale performed on this Terminal
    2. Invoice Prefix - Word that appears at the start of the Roam Sale Number, eg. Roam000001
    3. Invoice Suffix - Word that appears at the end of the Roam Sale Number, eg 000001Roam
  3. Payment Methods - Tick which payment methods will be able to use from the Roam Point of Sale on this Terminal.
  4. Enabled - Click the Toggle next to 'Terminal Enable' to prevent this terminal being used in Roam.
Alert
Some of these settings require the data to be cleared on the Roam POS to take effect.
Click HERE for steps on how to go to the POS screen, then go to the section on Manage Data to clear and reload data.

Staff

Staff from Retailer will be exported to Roam and appear in this list. If you wish to add additional Staff, click the Add Staff button.
Click a Staff Member to change it's settings.
  1. Enabled - Click the Toggle to Enable/Disable this staff member to be used in Roam.
  2. Full Name - Enter the name of the staff member.
  3. Initials - Enter the staff initials of the staff member. These initials will be added to sales when imported to Retailer.

API Keys

This is where you can setup API Keys to integrate Roam with other platforms. Do not change unless instructed by Tower Support.

Background Eraser

This is where you can setup Background Removal of images captured in Roam.
