Setting up Element RW973 Mk II Receipt Printer

Identify Model and Ports

Before installing the printer driver, identify the model number and port for the printer.

  • For the model number, look on the sticker on the bottom of the printer.
    It should show Model: RW973 Mk II.
  • For the port, look at the bottom of the rear of the printer.

Installing the Printer Driver

  1. Close Retailer if it is open.
  2. Click  HERE  to download the  RW973 Mk II  driver.
  3. Once it has completed downloading, run the installation file.
    NOTE: If Microsoft Defender or your Antivirus program flags the installation file, then allow it to be run.
  4. In the Setup Language screen, click OK .
  5. In the License Agreement screen, select Agree and click Next .
  6. In the Operation of install screen, make sure your printer is connected to the PC and turned on, then click
    Next.
    It will automatically set your Windows default printer to the newly installed driver. To adjust this, follow the steps HERE for Windows 10 or HERE for Windows 7

Adjusting the Offset

You will need to set the driver's horizontal offset before it can print correctly.
  1. Click the Start menu icon at the bottom left.
  2. Search for Control Panel.
  3. Click on View devices and printers / Devices and Printers.
  4. Right click on the RW973 MkII driver and select Printing Preferences.
  5. Type in -4.0 in the horizontal offset and click OK.


Installing the Utility

The volume of the beeps from the receipt printer can be adjusted by installing the utility program.
  1. Click  HERE  to download the Element Utility Setup file. 
    NOTE: If Microsoft Defender or your Antivirus program flags the installation file, then allow it to be run.
  2. On the Welcome screen, click Next .
  3. In the Destination screen, click Next .
  4. In the Start Menu Folder screen, click Next .
  5. In the Ready to Install screen, click Install .
  6. Once the installation is complete, click Finish and the Utility program will automatically open.
  7. In the Printer Utility program, click Advanced Settings .
  8. I n the Advanced Settings screen, click Function Setting .
  9. Select the Buzzer Volume you prefer and then click Setting to the right of it to save.
  10. Close out of the Printer Utility program.

Setup in Retailer

Once the printer driver has been installed, Retailer needs to be configured to use the printer driver.

In the Printer option, select Epson.

If you have a cash drawer, that will also need to be configured in Retailer.
