Lotto Setup - New Product: Weekday Windfall
This advice is written for users who are already utilising Terminal Connect; linking your Lotto Transactions with Retailer
If you do not currently use Terminal Connect, please see the following Advice Sheets
Introduction to Changes
With the introduction of Weekday Windfall, a product adjustment must occur and you can then add the new Lotto products for Terminal Connect to function properly.
This is because The Lottery Corporation has decided to use an existing PLU for product in Retailer which is in a pay out department. But the new product is not a pay out Item.
If you do not follow these steps specifically, sales of the new item will result in a pay out instead of a purchase.
The below steps only need to be completed on one terminal
Part 1: Adjust Existing Item with PLU X7422
- Go to Stock > Stock Screen
- Click on the Magnifying Glass icon to start a search
- Click into the PLU column and type in "X7422".
You should see an item called "Wallet Paid Reimbursements" in a "Lotto Payout" department or something to that effect. But it must specifically have a PLU of X7422
If you do have this item, proceed to step 4.
If you do not, proceed to the next section "Part 2: Creating New Products" by closing the Find Stock Screen - Click Okay,
- Remove the PLU
- Press Save
Part 2: Creating New Products
Follow these steps below and reference the table to add the new products to your Retailer system.
- From the main screen of Retailer, click on Stock -> Stock Screen.
- Click on the Add button on the bottom-left.
- In the Barcode section, press [Alt]+[G].
- In the PLU section, enter as in the table below.
- Click Next. If Next is not available, press the TAB key and it should become available.
- Put in your product description as you want it to appear on receipts and in the point of sale screen.
- Click Next.
- Select the department in the table then click Next.
- Select the correct supplier and leave all the QOH settings as they are. Click Next.
- Set your tax group and leave all the pricing options as they are. Click Next. You may get a warning that you have not set a retail price. Click Ok.
- In the next screen the only tick box that should be ticked is the first one asking whether the item should be allowed to be discounted. This can either be ticked or un-ticked depending on your businesses preference. All other boxes should be un-ticked. Click Next.
- Leave the newsagency specific settings as they are and click Finish.
- Repeat this process for the second item using the PLU’s and descriptions in the table provided.
