When you do not have sufficient stock on-hand to fulfil a customer quote/invoice, you can create an order directly from the same screen.

Retailer uses the amounts in Quantity on Backorder as the amount to order.

Ordering Stock From A Pending Invoice

  1. On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Stock Maintenance -> Quote and Invoice Management.
  2. Create, copy or search for a quote.

    As mentioned above, Retailer uses the amounts in Quantity on Backorder as the amount to order.
    The Quantity on Backorder is automatically adjusted when you enter the amount in Quantity Supplied.
  3. (Optional) Click on the Set QTY Supplied button and select one of the following options:
    • Set Qty Supplied = 0 - Adjusts the amount in Quantity Supplied to 0 and puts all ordered amounts into Quantity Backordered.
    • Set Qty Supplied Based on Current QOH - Adjusts the amount in Quantity Supplied based on the current Quantity On-hand. If the amount is insufficient, the remainder is added to the Quantity on Backorder.
  4. Click on the Order Stock button.
  5. Select the required Order Stock For option:
    • All Customer Quotes will add all stock on Quotes to the relevant supplier orders in Orders Maintenance.
    • Selected Quote defaults to the invoice currently on the screen. Only stock on this invoice is added to the supplier orders in Orders Maintenance.
    • Selected Delivery Date will add stock from all pending invoices with that specified delivery date.
  6. Click on Create Orders.
  7. Click on OK.
  8. Once the order has been created, you can manage the order through Orders Maintenance.
