Best Practice Advice for Suppliers in Formatting Invoices for Easy AI Import into the Tower Systems Retailer Software

This advice has been written for you to share with suppliers, to encourage them to provide you with invoices that can be easily loaded directly into your Tower Systems Retailer software without you having to enter invoices manually.
  1. Invoices need to be structured and consistent in layout, with column headings.
  2. Include your company name, address, ABN, invoice number, invoice date, and order number.
  3. For each product supplied, include:
    1. Product code
    2. Barcode
    3. Description
    4. Unit cost price
    5. Quantity supplied
    6. GST
    7. Total price
  4. The invoice should also include the invoice total and freight cost, if applicable.
  5. It’s okay if GST shows as a line item before the total of the invoice if all items are GST inclusive.
  6. The invoice could be a Word document, a PDF or an Excel spreadsheet. The best font to use is Arial.
