Restoring Labels to Default Settings

When aligning labels for the first time (or on a new printer), it is best to reset the label alignment back to Retailer’s default settings first, then adjusting the positions.
  1. From the main screen of Retailer, open the Barcode Manager.
  2. Click on Barcode Settings.
  3. Click on Restore Defaults.
  4. Click on OK.
  5. Restart Retailer.
AlertAny time you open the Barcode Settings, be sure to close and reopen Retailer or it won't print.
IdeaTo test the alignment of labels, print some test labels out on standard A4 paper, then hold the printout pressed against a page of stickers and hold it up to a bright light. This will allow you to assess the alignment without wasting labels.

Adjusting Label Positions

InfoWe have a video guide on how to align your A4 barcode labels: Printing Labels - A4 Printers
If the default settings don’t align your labels perfectly, you can ‘shuffle’ the rows and columns left, right, up and down until they fit. This is very much a process of trial and error.
  1. From the main screen of Retailer, open the Barcode Manager.
  2. Click on Barcode Settings.
  3. If your labels are too high or too low on the page, click on Shuffle Rows up or down a couple of times, depending on how much they need to move (one shuffle = 1mm). Alternatively, you can change the figures of the Row Positions.
  4. If your labels are too far to the left or right on the page, click on Shuffle Columns left or right a couple of times, depending on how much they need to move (one shuffle = 1mm). Alternatively, you can change the figures of the Column Positions.
  5. Click on OK.
  6. Print some labels and check the alignment. If the labels still don’t line up correctly, repeat steps 2-5 until they’re perfect.
NotesIf you have more than one computer that you print labels from, you will need to repeat the steps above on each of them.

Print Long or Short Description

  2. Click on Barcode Settings.
  3. In the bottom left corner, find Description Size. Choose between Normal (Short Description) or Condensed (Long Description)
  4. Click OK
  5. Restart Retailer
