Updating EPSON Receipt Printer Driver

If your EPSON printer is outdated, it will not perform properly. A common problem related to this is the printer will not print its first print job for the day until the computer is restarted.

To update the printer driver:

  1. Click HERE to download the drivers.
  2. Once downloaded, click on the option to Open/Run OR go to your downloads folder and double-click on the APD_454E icon.
  3. Progress through the installation wizard.
  4. When prompted if you want to upgrade, click Yes.
  5. Click Next until the installation begins.
  6. When it's done, click on Finish.

Reinstalling EPSON Receipt Printer Driver

If you've replaced the receipt printer, the printer driver should be re-installed to avoid any conflicts with the old driver.

This requires the existing driver to be uninstalled first:

  1. Click HERE to download the drivers.
  2. Once downloaded, click on the option to Open/Run OR go to your downloads folder and double-click on the APD_454E icon.
  3. Progress through the installation wizard until you get to the screen below:

  4. Select Uninstall and click Next.
  5. Click Yes to confirm the deletion and allow the uninstallation to proceed.
  6. When it's done, click Finish.

Once uninstalled, follow the instructions HERE to install the driver for your new printer.
