Tax Update Utility

Warning: Using this utility will affect pricing of every item in the selection you make.
Please be sure you want to do this before clicking anything other than the close button.
This utility is used to update the tax rates on the different tax groups you have and the items in them.

From the Main screen of Retailer, click on Utilities at the top and then Update Tax.
The following options can be set for the utility.

Tax Rate:
Tax group to update - This is the tax group you are going to affect.
Previous tax rate - This is the tax percentage prior to changes.
New tax rate - This is the tax percentage you are changing to. Enter the desired tax percentage.
Note that the tax percentage can be set for Sale (sell price), and for Arrive (cost price) of items in their respective columns. Ticking the Use Same Tax Rate for Sales and Arrivals box will automatically set the cost price to use the same tax percentage set in the sell price.

Update Retail Prices:
Here you can select all departments or specific ones to update prices. Click the Selected button, and then tick the Departments you wish to change if this is only intended for certain departments.

Rounding settings:
The first two options are the rounding settings that the prices will use when recalculating.

Queue barcode labels in the barcode manager - This will add barcode labels for any stock with a price change into the Barcode Manager when you recalculate prices.
Click HERE for more information how to print labels in Barcode Manager.
Update Trade Price - This option will also update the trade pricing when you recalculate prices.
Click HERE for further information on Trade Pricing.
Update GST only - This will leave the item sell prices as they are, and only update the GST component of an item
Clicking the Recalculate Retail Prices button will update all prices according to the above settings with new pricing to match the new tax settings.
This will only update the current retail prices going forward, and their GST. The sections below let you update the tax and sell prices of affected items in existing laybys and repairs.

Clicking the button here will update the pricing on laybys with items affected by the above settings.
