Sign in to Tower Systems website and Retailer (MFA)

To sign into the Tower Systems website, you will need your Username, Password and a Multi Factor Authentication (MFA) Method.

There are 3 MFA Methods available:
  1. Email: Receive a One Time Code via Email
  2. Authenticator App: Generate a One Time Code via Authenticator App. eg Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator
  3. Passkey: Save a Passkey to your computer, security key or Password Manager app.
    1. If using a Password Manager app, the same Passkey can be synced between multiple devices eg Google Password Manager, 
Notes
It is important to setup multiple MFA Methods to make sure you have a backup

Setup Multi Factor Authentication

If MFA has not been setup, you will be prompted when logging in the Tower Website.
  1. Open towersystems.com.au
  2. In the top right corner, click Sign In.
  3. Enter Username and Password. Click Sign In.
  4. The Setup MFA Method selection will appear. Click a MFA Method.

Email

  1. Enter Email Address to receive MFA Code.
    1. Note if multiple staff need access, use an email address that all staff have access to.
  2. Click Send Code.
  3. Open Email Inbox and note code
  4. Enter MFA Code on login page.
  5. Click Continue.

Authenticator App

  1. Click Add Authenticator App.
  2. Open Authenticator App on mobile phone. eg Google Authenticator, Microsoft Authenticator
  3. In Authenticator App, click Add or Plus or Scan QR Code button.
  4. Scan the QR Code on the login page with your Authenticator App.
  5. Select the 'Tower Systems' entry in your Authenticator App.
  6. Enter the MFA Code on the login page. 
  7. Click Continue.

Passkey

  1. Click Register Passkey.
  2. Select where to save the Passkey and click Continue. Follow the prompts to save your Passkey.
  3. On the login page, click Authenticate with Passkey.
  4. Follow the prompts to use your Passkey.


Manage Multi Factor Authentication

Once MFA has been setup, you can configure additional MFA Methods or remove MFA Methods.
  1. Open towersystems.com.au
  2. In the top right corner, click Sign In.
    1. If you are already signed in, click the Dashboard button in the top right. Skip to step 5.
  3. Enter Username and Password. Click Sign In.
  4. Select an existing MFA Method and follow the prompts to login.
  5. From the Dashboard, click on Multi-factor Authentication.
  6. To add a new MFA Method: Click the Set Up button next to the MFA Method you wish to use.
  7. To remove a MFA Method: Click the Remove button next to the MFA Method if you wish to remove.

FAQ

How to change Email Address for MFA Code?

Follow the steps above to Manage MFA Method, remove the Email MFA Method then setup again with the new Email Address.

I have multiple Staff Members needing access, which MFA Method should I use?

Where staff members need to access the Tower Website from multiple computers, there are a few options:
  1. Register a Passkey to a Password Manager and sync that between devices.
    1. Follow the steps above to Manage MFA Method, then click the Add Method button next to Passkey. Save the Passkey to your Password Manager.
  2. Register a Passkey to each device needing access.
    1. Follow the steps above to Manage MFA Method, then click the Add Method button next to Passkey. Repeat this on each computer you need access from.
  3. Register an Email Address to receive MFA codes that all staff have access to.
    1. Follow the steps above to Manage MFA Method, then click the Add Method button next to Email. 

I cannot access my MFA Method

If you have permanently lost access to your MFA Method and have setup a backup method, follow the steps above to Manage MFA Method and remove the old MFA Method.
