Setting up Planday Integration

Retailer 3.2.2 or later is needed to use Planday. See Installing Retailer Updates

Planday from Xero is a platform for Staff Rostering and Timesheet tracking.

Setup Planday in Retailer

  1. From the Main Screen of Retailer, click Setup -> API Connection.
  2. In the list of API Connections, scroll down and click Planday
  3. Enter the URL of your Planday page. For example https://towersystems.planday.com
  4. For Client URL, enter your Planday URL with /settings/api-access/ at the end. For example https://towersystems.planday.com/settings/api-access
  5. Click New OAuth Client
  6. Planday will open. Click the Create App button in the top right
  7. Under Title, type Retailer
  8. Set Redirect Uri to http://localhost:3025
  9. Under Scopes, tick All for all options
  10. Click the Save button in the top right
  11. Under your new app, click Authorize. On the next page, Click Authorize.
  12. Copy App ID and Token from Planday into Retailer API Connections page, Client Id and Refresh Token fields respectively
  13. Click Save
  14. Click Define Location(s) to Access. Tick the store location you wish to use from Planday. Click Ok
  15. Click Close

Setup Staff in Retailer

  1. From the Main Screen of Retailer, click Setup -> General. Go to the Staff tab
  2. If the Staff Member has not been added to Retailer, click the Add button.
  3. Each Staff Member needs to have their email address added to Retailer. Click the Staff Member, enter the Email Address and click Save. This email needs to match the email setup for the staff member in Planday.

View Staff Roster

  1. From either the Main or Point of Sale Screens in Retailer, click the Staff Check-In button
  2. The Staff Roster from Planday will appear
Planday have not currently released their Staff Check-In/Out feature. The Staff Roster can be viewed from Retailer
There are buttons at the top of the Staff Check-In screen to change the number of days and hours visible, the Time Scale (default is 30 minute increments) and button size.
