Selling and Refunding ePay vouchers and Gift Cards

This advice sheet explains how to sell and refund ePay Vouchers and Gift Cards.

You will need to have done the setup beforehand. Click HERE for details on setting this up.

Selling Gift Cards

1. Scan the barcode on the back of the card into the Point of Sale screen.
   
2. If prompted, select the appropriate value.
   
3. Click End Sale.
   

The voucher activates during the sale process and prints with the receipt.

If the Find Stock screen appears, update your ePay product file.

Selling Phone Vouchers and Other Products

1. Open ePay by:
   
1. Pressing CTRL + E, or
   
2. Clicking your ePay button.
   
2. Select the required category.
   
3. Select the desired product.
   
4. The product will be added to the sale.
   
5. Click End Sale.
   

The voucher will print with the receipt.

If you remove the ePay product from the sale before clicking End Sale, the store will not be charged.

Refunding ePay Sales

Refunding an ePay voucher follows the same process as refunding any sale in Retailer.

1. In Point of Sale, click Previous Sales or press F3.
   
2. Select the required sale.
   
3. Click Refund.
   
4. The sale will load marked as a refund.
   
5. To refund the entire sale, click End Sale.
   
6. To refund selected items only, delete unwanted items before clicking End Sale.
   
7. Select a refund reason.
   
8. Choose the payment method to refund to.
   
9. Click OK to complete the transaction.
   

A refund receipt will print.

Important

1. ePay may enforce a refund time limit.
   
2. If you receive a message stating the refund period has been exceeded, contact ePay on 1300 301 408 or email support@epayworldwide.com.au
   
3. If you need to refund and sell a new voucher, perform two separate transactions.

I accidentally sold the wrong phone voucher. How do I refund and issue the new voucher?

We recommend doing two separate transactions if you have to refund and sell a new phone voucher.

How to create a button for Opal cards?

Opal transport cards used in New South Wales are not part of the epay integration with Retailer. A separate button would need to be set up, linked to the stock item or department where the Opal cards are stored.
