Roam - Catalogue Discounts

Retailer Stock Item catalogues can sync to Roam to apply automatic discounts in Roam POS.

Create Catalogue Discount in Retailer

Only Catalogues using the 'Stock Item' discount type with a trigger quantity of 1 will sync to Roam.
Roam cannot apply an automatic discount when quantity sold is over a threshold.

Create Catalogue

  1. On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Setup → Catalogues.
  2. Click on the Add button in the upper section of the screen.
  3. In Catalogue, enter the name of the catalogue.
  4. Choose a Start Date and End Date for this catalogue.
    Note: the Start Time and End Time only apply in Retailer. They do not delay sending the Catalogue to Roam until after a certain time.
  5. Manual Stop is used to stop the catalogue from being active from the moment you tick it. This overrides the date/time settings.
    If this is ticked, the catalogue is set as being inactive and will not operate until it is unticked again.
  6. Leave OfficeSmart Customers Only unticked. OfficeSmart Catalogues do not sync to Roam.
  7. Once all of the details are correct, click on Save.

Add Stock Item discount to Catalogue

  1. From the Setup → Catalogues screen, click the Add Item button at the bottom of the screen.
  2. In Catalogue, select the catalogue for this item to appear in.
  3. In Discount Type, select Stock Item.
  4. In Barcode/PLU, enter the Barcode or press [Enter] to open the Find Stock Screen to select the stock item you want to discount.
    Alternatively, click the Add Items button to add a group of items that match a criteria within Advanced Stock Search using utility similar to Stock Manager.
  5. In Quantity, enter 1.
  6. Enter the Discount %, Discount Price or Discount Amount.
  7. Click Save. Then select the desired option to continue:
    1. Add different stock items using the same discount.
    2. Add all Linked Stock Items using the same discount.
    3. Add a different stock item (with a different discount setting).
    4. Add this item again with a different quantity.
    5. Finish (Do not add any more stock).

Sync Catalogue to Roam

Once the Catalogue is Active in Retailer, it will sync to Roam.
  1. On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Tasks → Weblink Full Sync.
  2. Click Yes to the 'Do you want to perform a full weblink sync now?' prompt.
  3. Wait 30 minutes for the sync to complete.
NotesIf data is still not uploading to Roam, follow the Restart Weblink Service steps

Use Catalogue in Roam

Scan a product in Roam POS. If the item is on a catalogue, a discount will automatically be applied and will show next to the item in the Cart.
To remove or override the discount, click the item in the Cart then click either:
  1. Remove Catalogue Discount
  2. Apply Line Discount
