Customer Tags

Customer tags in Retailer allows you to add another layer of categorisation for Customers in Reports and Marketing Tools, beyond that of categories and interests. Customer Categories and Interests are limited to 3 of each per Customer, while there is no limit to the number of Tags that can be added to a Customer.

Assigning Tags in Customer Screen

  1. From the main screen of Retailer, click on Customer → Customer Screen.
  2. Click on the Magnifying Glass 🔎︎ icon access the Find Customer Screen.
  3. Search for and select the particular customer to assign tags to.
  4. In the bottom left corner of the Customer Screen, click on the History tab. 
  5. In the Tag drop-down box, type in the name of the tag or select the tag from the list.
  6. Press [Enter] on your keyboard or Click on the plus + button.
    The Tag will drop into the Tag List box below
  7. Repeat the process to add multiple tags for the Customer.
  8. If you want to remove tags, move your mouse cursor on top of the tag to remove and then click on the X next to it.
  9. Click the ellipsis (3 dots • • •) button next to Tags to open the Customer Tag Selector window. This screen makes it easier to select multiple Tags. See the Customer Tag Selector section below.
  10. Click Save.

Assigning Tags in Add Customer Screen

  1. From the Find Customer Screen, click the Add button in the bottom left corner.
  2. Scroll down in the new Customer Details screen to the Other Details section. Click the Customer Tags tab.

  3. In the Tag drop-down box, type in the name of the tag or select the tag from the list.
  4. Press [Enter] on your keyboard or Click on the plus + button.
    The Tag will drop into the Tag List box below
  5. Repeat the process to add multiple tags for the Customer.
  6. If you want to remove tags, move your mouse cursor on top of the tag to remove and then click on the X next to it.
  7. Click the ellipsis (3 dots • • •) button next to Tags to open the Customer Tag Selector window. This screen makes it easier to select multiple Tags. See the Customer Tag Selector section below.
  8. Click Save to add the Customer to Retailer.

Customer Tag Selector

Click the ellipsis (3 dots • • •) button next to Tags to open the Customer Tag Selector window.
This will show all Available Tags and currently Selected Tags.
You can click a tag at the top, to add it to the Selected Tags box which will then be applied to the current customer.
Move your mouse cursor on top of a tag in the Selected Tags box then click on the X next to it to unassign the Tag from the current customer.
Click Ok to save changes or Cancel to undo changes.

Merging Customer Tags

  1. From the main screen of Retailer, click on Setup → Tag Management.
  2. Select the Customer Tags option.
  3. In the Tag drop-down box, type in the name of the tag or select the tag from the list.
  4. Press [Enter] on your keyboard or Click on the plus + button.
    The Tag will drop into the Tag List box below
  5. Repeat the process to add all tags you wish to merge to the Tag List box.
  6. Click the Merge button
  7. You will then be prompted to enter the name of a new Tag.
  8. All Customers will then be updated with the new Tag.

Deleting Customer Tags

  1. From the main screen of Retailer, click on Setup → Tag Management.
  2. Select the Customer Tags option.
  3. In the Tag drop-down box, type in the name of the tag or select the tag from the list.
  4. Press [Enter] on your keyboard or Click on the plus + button.
    The Tag will drop into the Tag List box below
  5. Repeat the process to add all tags you wish to Delete to the Tag List box.
  6. Click the Delete button
  7. The Tag(s) will then be deleted from all Customers.
