Changing Tax Percentages ( GST / GST-Free ) on Stock Items

Setting Tax Percentages / Group

1. On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Setup -> Tax.
2. By default, GST, GST Free and Input Taxed Supply tax groups are already created.
   These tax groups cannot be modified.
   
3. To add a new tax group:
   
   • Click Add.
   • Enter the details of the tax group as required.
   • Click Save.
     
4. Click Close when finished.
   

If you import stock from overseas, and have product that has no GST on purchase (tax exempt cost), you can set up a Tax group that has 0% tax on Arrival, and 10% tax on sale.

Changing Tax Percentages / Group for Stock Items (Individually)

1. On the main screen of Retailer, click on Stock -> Stock Screen.
2. Click on the magnifying glass icon to access the Find Stock Screen.
3. Search for and select the particular stock item.
4. In Tax Group, select the desired tax group.
   
5. Click Save.
6. Click Yes to confirm the change.
   You may be prompted for your username and password.
   
7. The GST Credit and GST Payable amounts will change accordingly.
