CHANGE CUSTOMER BARCODE

Change Customer Barcodes

If required, you can change the barcode which is automatically generated when a new customer is created.

This might be because you have got pre-printed customer cards \ loyalty which have their own barcode on them.

Allow Customer Barcode to be changed

  1. From the main screen of Retailer, click on Setup -> System -> Customers.
  2. At the bottom left-hand side of the screen, tick the ‘Allow the Customer Barcode to be changed’ option.
  3. Click on Save.
  4. Click on Close.

Change Customer Barcodes

  1. From the main screen of Retailer, click on Customers.
  2. Click on the Magnifying Glass icon to open the Find Customer Screen. Search for a customer you would like to change the barcode for.
  3. Once you have selected your chosen customer, highlight the Cust. Barcode box.
  4. Either scan the new barcode (from a physical card) or type in the new barcode number.
  5. Click on Save.
Repeat steps 2 to 5 for all other Customers that need their barcode changed.
If you leave the Cust. Barcode box empty, then Retailer will automatically allocate a new barcode when you click on Save.
