Retailer can warn you if the cash total within the Till (cash
draw) is over a set amount. This can be helpful if you only want a certain
amount of cash to be in the till drawer during the day.
Example:
You do not want more than $1000 in the Till at one time, any
amount over should be removed – e.g. to a safe.
Once there is more than $1000 cash in the Till, a message
will appear, after every sale to remind staff to reduce the cash total within the Till.
Setup Cash Warning
Below are the steps which explain how to set the cash limit.
1. From the main screen of Retailer, click on Setup -> Point of Sale -> Till Setup.
2. Within the ‘Warn Level’ column, type in the required
amount for each Till ID.
- Most computers will have their own Till ID.
- You can find which Till ID each computer has by
clicking on the Terminals tab at the top of the Setup Point of Sale screen.
3. Tick the Cash Warning box for each Till
that you want a message displayed when the total is above your chosen amount
(Cash Warning).
4. Repeat for all required Till ID’s.
5. Click Save.
6. Click Close.
7. Close out of Retailer and re-open Retailer on
that computer.
POS Cash Warning
Once the Cash total is over the desired level, you will see
a ‘Cash Warning’ message appear after each sale is processed. This message will
repeat until either the cash total is reduced, or the Cash Warning is
increased.
