Before adding images and text to the customer display, the customer display functionality needs to be enabled in Retailer first.

Adding Images

Before adding images to the Customer Display, they first need to be saved to a location that is easy to access. For example:

  1. On the MAIN/server computer, right-click on the Desktop.
  2. Select New -> Folder.
  3. Type in a name for the folder such as Customer Display Images.
  4. Save/Copy the images to this folder.

After saving the images, they can then be added to the customer display through Retailer.

  1. Open Retailer on the MAIN/server computer.
  2. On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Setup -> Customer Display.
  3. Click on the + button on the top-right.
  4. Select Display image from file and click OK.
  5. Navigate to the folder with the images.
  6. Double-click on the desired image.
  7. Repeat steps 3-6 for any other images.
    NOTE: If you intend to add more than a few images, it is advisable to resize the images to the same size for best performance.

Adding Text

  1. Open Retailer on the MAIN/server computer.
  2. On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Setup -> Customer Display.
  3. Click on the + button on the top-right.
  4. Select Display text and click OK.
  5. The Customer Display Text Setup screen will appear with the following options:
    Display TextType in the text to display on the customer display.
    FontSets the font for the text.
    StyleMakes the text bold or italic by ticking the respective tick-boxes.
    SizeAdjusts the font size.
    Font ColourSets the colour of the font.
    Back ColourSets the colour of the background.
    Scrolling TextTick to make the text scroll from side to side.
    Scroll SpeedSets how fast the text scrolls across the screen.
    Scroll DirectionSets the direction that the text will scroll.
  6. Click Show Full Preview to display a preview of the text. To exit the preview, double-click on the image.
  7. Click OK.

Additional Options

In the Select Display Items grid, you have several more functions:

Image File Name/TextClick on the three-dot button to edit the image or text. 
Image PositionSets the position of the image. 
IntervalSets the number of seconds that the image or text will appear for. 
Background ColourSets the colour of the background.
Transition EffectSets the effect when changing to the next image or text. 
TerminalsSets the terminals that will display the image or text. 
Display StatesSets the image or text to display in full screen, half screen or both.
