The Weekly Takings Report lists departments and their breakdown of each sale type per week for the date range specified, up to 12 weeks individually or 5 weeks if GST breakdown is included.
Generating the Report
- On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Reports -> Sales Reports -> Takings Reports -> Weekly Takings Report.
- In Report Date Range:
- Select the Start Date - This will be the Start Date of the report
- Select the End Date -This will be the End Date of the report
- In Select Departments and Terminals:
- Select which departments to search. To select all departments click the All circle at the top, otherwise click Selected and click on the required departments.
- Select which terminals to search. To select all terminals click the All circle at the top, otherwise click Selected and click the required terminals.
- Options:
- Exclude Home Delivery & Subagent Orders – This option will stop home deliveries and Subagent orders from being shown on the report
- Exclude Agency – Excludes Agencies from being shown on the report (Eg. Lotto)
- Show Totals Of Sale Types Per Department – Shows the totals of all sale types per department
- Show Graph – Shows a graph at the bottom of the page that gives a visual representation of sales.
- Show GST – Shows the total amount of GST on the report
- Do not show GST – Does not show amount of GST taken on the report.
- Click Preview or Print.
Reading the Report
The Weekly Takings Report shows sales by week broken up by department, with totals on the right and the bottom on the report.
- Department – displays the totals for each department for the particular week.
- Date - Identifies the particular week within the period, eg. Oldest on the left, newest on the right
- GST (if enabled) – GST paid on each week then for the whole period on the total column
- Total – Total amount of sales made in the selected date range
- Graph – This graph demonstrates the total amount of sales per week which allows you to visualize the amount of sales being made in each department. The left hand side demonstrates the total and the bottom shows the date.
The graph can be shown or hidden using the Show Graph or Hide Graph button at the top
Exporting the Report
You can export the report to either a PDF document or Excel spreadsheet by using the Preview button and following the below steps:
- PDF - Click on the red PDF button at the top of the report and choose your save destination.
- Excel spreadsheet - Click on the Print button at the top left. Tick 'Print to File' and select 'Xlsx Data File'. Click on the three dots button to choose your save destination. Click OK to save the file.
