Retailer’s stock price rounding functionality allows you to define how you want retail prices to be rounded when a price change is detected during Invoice Arrivals. This does not impact the System setting for Round To Nearest, which controls the rounding of sales when the Cash pay type is used.

Set Up Stock Rounding For a Department

  1. On the top menu bar of Retailer, click on Stock Maintenance → Suppliers & Departments.
  2. Click on the magnifying glass button and select the particular department.
  3. For Rounding Value, enter the amount that sell prices will be rounded to.
    Notes
Note: The amount will be considered a multiple. This means an amount of 0.99 rounding, will round up from $4.56 to $4.95 because that's a multiple of $0.99, instead of $4.99. It's not possible to round to end with a certain amount in decimals.
  4. Next, select how the rounding will be applied:
    • No Rounding - The selling price will not be rounded. The Rounding Value setting is ignored.
    • PSA Recommended (nearest 0) - The price will be rounded to the nearest multiple entered, according to the guidelines published by the PSA.
    • Down in Multiples of Rounding Value - The price will always round down to the nearest multiple entered.
    • Up in Multiples of Rounding Value - The price will always round up to the nearest multiple entered
NOTE: The table below explains the options using a rounding to the nearest $0.05:
