RoamV2 - Setup Integrated Eftpos
Create Payment Method
If there isn't already an Eftpos Payment Type, you will need to add it
- From your Roam POS screen, click on the hamburger menu button ☰ in the top left corner.
- Down left hand side, click Settings
- Under 'Management Settings', click 'Payment Methods'. The current Roam Payment Methods will be listed
- Click 'New Payment Method' in the top right corner
- Click 'Payment Type'
- Select either 'Tyro', 'Linkly' or 'Smartpay Eftpos'
- Leaved 'Enabled' and 'Assign to Terminal' turned on
- Enter a Name for the Payment Method
- Click 'Select Retailer Pay Type' and select the corresponding Payment Method from Retailer
- Click 'Save Payment Method'
Enable Payment Method for Roam Terminal
If you're using an existing Payment Method or setting up an additional Roam Terminal, you may need to Enable the Payment Method on the current Terminal
- From your Roam POS screen, click on the hamburger menu button ☰ in the top left corner.
- Down left hand side, click Settings
- Under 'My Device Configuration', click your current Terminal
- Click 'Available Payment Methods'
- Tick the Payment Methods you wish to be available for this Terminal
- Click 'New Payment Method' in the top right corner to add a Payment Method. See Step 5 in Create Payment Method below
- If
you need to configure multiple Roam Terminals, click Back twice and use
'Switch Terminal'. Repeat steps 4-6 for all terminals that will use
Eftpos
Pair Eftpos Terminal to Roam
The Eftpos Terminal needs to be paired to your Roam Terminal. Follow the relevant instructions below for your eftpos terminal
Pair Tyro Terminal
Open the Roam Point of Sale
Click the Menu button ☰ in the top left
Click Settings
In the Roam POS Settings list, click Configure Tyro
Click Pair Terminal
Follow the Tyro Pairing prompts
Pair Linkly Cloud Terminal
Open the Roam Point of Sale
Click the Menu button ☰ in the top left
Click Settings
- In the Roam POS Settings list, click Configure Linkly
- Click Pair New Pinpad
- Enter Linkly Cloud Username, Password and Pairing Code. Click Save
If you're unsure of your Linkly Cloud Username, Password or Pairing Code, contact your bank.
Check the help section of your banks website for specific instructions for your Eftpos Terminal or use the Linkly Cloud Setup Guide
Pair Smartpay Eftpos Terminal
Open the Roam Point of Sale
Click the Menu button ☰ in the top left
Click Settings
- In the Roam POS Settings list, click 'Manage SmartPay'
- Click 'Pair SmartPay Device'
- Enter the SmartPay Pairing Code from your SmartPay Terminal. Click 'Pair SmartPay Device'
