Retailer 3.4.1.X Update Notes

Retailer 3.4.1.X Update Notes

New Features

OAuth2 Email Authentication Support (Microsoft 365 & Gmail)

  1. Microsoft is officially deprecating Basic Authentication for SMTP in Exchange Online, with estimated deadline scheduled for September 2025.
Retailer previously relied on legacy email protocols (Basic Auth via SMTP), which is being phased out by both Microsoft and Google.

    • New support has been introduced to transition Retailer’s email systems to OAuth2-based modern authentication.
    • This ensures ongoing compatibility with Microsoft 365 and Gmail accounts and meets updated security standards.
