In Retailer you can redeem gift vouchers / gift cards in one of two ways:

• Scanned as part of the sale
  OR
• Scanned after entering an amount in Payment Details screen

Scanned as Part of the Sale

This method can only be used when you enter items into the POS screen. It cannot be used for paying laybys or repairs.

1. In the Point Of Sale screen, scan the items to purchase.
2. Then, scan or type in the gift voucher’s barcode (You can redeem multiple vouchers in one sale).
   The total value of Gift Vouchers as well as any remaining value will show in the top-right corner.
   
3. Click Sub Total or End Sale.
4. The Gift Card Redemptions screen will appear.
   • It will show the vouchers that were scanned as well as their respective values.
   • If you want to change how much of the Gift Voucher is used, change the value in Payment Amount.
   • If you want to add more gift vouchers, scan or type in the gift vouchers barcode in the Enter Gift Card Number box on the bottom-left.
     If you are typing in the barcode, press [Enter] after each one.
   • Click OK.
     
5. The Payment Details screen will appear.
   If the value of the Gift Voucher(s) was less than the value of the sale, select the payment type for the remaining amount to be paid by.
6. Click OK.
   If the value of the Gift Voucher(s) was more than the value of the sale, the partially used Gift Voucher will be updated with its new amount.

Scanned After Entering an Amount in Payment Details Screen

1. In the Payment Details screen, enter the amount being charged to Gift Vouchers into the Gift Voucher amount.
   NOTE: If you're not sure how much is remaining on a Gift Voucher, press [Alt]+[T] on your keyboard and scan/type in the Gift Voucher's barcode.
   Alternatively, enter the full sale amount in the Gift Voucher amount. Retailer will automatically adjust for it later if the voucher does not cover the full price of the sale.
2. Click OK.
   
3. The Gift Card Redemptions screen will appear. Scan the voucher in the Gift Card Number box.
   
1. It will show the vouchers that were scanned as well as their respective values.
   
2. If you want to change how much of the Gift Voucher is used, change the value in Payment Amount.
   
3. If you want to add more gift vouchers, scan or type in the gift vouchers barcode in the Enter Gift Card Number box on the bottom-left.
   
4. If you are typing in the barcode, press [Enter] after each one.
   
5. Click OK.
