New Special Customer Orders by ALT+T
In version 3.3 we have completely replaced the previous Special Customer Orders facility and wrapped this completely into Quote and Invoice Management.
Special Customer order is now simply become an Accepted Quote/Proforma Invoice. This gives special customer orders the full functionality of Quote and Invoice management including the ability to make deposits, progressional payments and full payments. It also improves the management options available for quotes and orders.
One change however, is that you can no longer create a special customer order for a stock item that does not exist. If you wish to do this you will need to add the stock item, using some identifying information, then update the items once it has been received.
Create a Special Customer Order from Alt+T
This process remains similar to the previous version.
- From any screen in Retailer press ALT+T
- Find the stock item the customer wishes to order.
- If the item does not exist in your stock file you can Add a stock item by clicking on Add
- Click on the Customer Order Button
- Then type in the amount of the item that the customer wishes to Order
- Enter the customer that you want to create the order for.
- Then pick you name as the staff member placing the order.
- Once you have completed click on OK.
- The Quote and Invoice management Proforma Screen will then open.
- Ensure Order Stock is ticked and check the order Quantity. The system will by default utilise any existing stock to fulfil the order placing Reserving the ordered items. However if you would prefer not reserve and order all or some of the stock items you can adjust quantity you wish to orde.
- Click on Process, you will then receive a message informing you that a pending order has been created. It will be added to the earliest pending order for the supplier.
- You have now successfully ordered a single product.
