Pairing a Bluetooth Socket Scanner for Roam

Set up your Socket Mobile scanner

1. To turn the scanner on, press and hold the power button (small button) until you hear the scanner beep twice. The LED should also turn blue. 
2. To use the Socket scanner with Roam, you need to enable Keyboard mode. To do this, scan the below barcode:

If you are unable to scan this barcode off your screen, print the page and scan the barcode on the document

Pair your Socket Mobile scanner with your iPhone or iPad

  1. On your iPhone or iPad, open Settings -> Bluetooth
  2. Make sure 'Bluetooth' is enabled, you should then see your scanner 'Socket CHS [XXXXXX]'
  3. Tap the device and your device should begin pairing the Scanner.

Pair your Socket Mobile scanner with your Android Phone or Tablet

  1. On your Android device, open Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth
  2. Make sure 'Bluetooth' is 'On', you should then see your scanner 'Socket CHS [XXXXXX]'
  3. Tap the device and your device should begin pairing the Scanner. 

Troubleshooting Socket Scanners

If you are having difficulty pairing your Socket Scanner, the first thing to try is to 'Forget' your Bluetooth pairing.
This can be done by following the steps above for pairing the device. The device should be in 'My Devices/ Paired Devices'. Select the Socket Scanner and select 'Forget Device'. Then proceed to pair it again.
You can also reset your Socket Scanner to factory settings using the below barcode. If you do this don't forget to re-enable Keyboard mode with the barcode at the beginning of this article.
