The programming barcodes shown below will only work with Socket Mobile brand Scanners.

Set up your Socket Mobile scanner for iPad

You can skip this step if using the socket scanner on an Android device

1. To turn the scanner on, press and hold the power button (small button) until you hear the scanner beep twice. The LED should also turn blue. 

2. To use the Socket scanner with an iPad you should enable iOS mode. Scan the following barcode for Roam V1:

If you are unable to scan this barcode off your screen, print the page and scan the barcode on the document

Pair your Socket Mobile scanner with your iPad

  1. Head into Settings -> Bluetooth
  2. Make sure 'Bluetooth' is enabled, you should then see your scanner 'Socket CHS [XXXXXX]'
  3. Tap the device and your iPad should begin pairing the Scanner. 

Pair your Socket Mobile scanner with your Android Tablet

  1. Head into Settings -> Connections -> Bluetooth
  2. Make sure 'Bluetooth' is 'On', you should then see your scanner 'Socket CHS [XXXXXX]'
  3. Tap the device and your tablet should begin pairing the Scanner. 

Troubleshooting Socket Scanners

If you are having difficulty pairing your Socket Scanner, the first thing to try is to 'Forget' your Bluetooth pairing. This can be done by following the steps above for pairing the device. The device should be in 'My Devices/ Paired Devices' select the Socket Scanner and select 'Forget Device' then proceed to pair it again.

You can also reset your Socket Scanner to factory settings using the below barcode. If you do this and use an iPad don't forget to re-enable iOS mode with the barcode at the beginning of this article.
