This advice sheet outlines the setup of Microsoft .NET Framework, which is necessary for connecting to Tyro EFTPOS terminals.


Check if .NET Framework 3.5 is Installed (Windows 10)

  1. Click on the Start/Windows button.
  2. Type in 'Windows Features'
  3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off
  4. Make sure the box next to .NET Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0) is checked
If this box is not checked, follow the below instructions
 

Install .NET Framework (Windows 10)

  1. Click the box next to .NET Framework 3.5 (Includes .NET 2.0 and 3.0)
  2. Click Let Windows Update download the files for you. Windows will download & install the required files.
  3. Click Finish. You may need to restart your computer

Issues with .NET Framework 3.5

If you are having problems with .NET Framework 3.5 follow the below steps:

  1. Click on the Start/Windows button.
  2. Type in 'Windows Features'
  3. Click on Turn Windows features on or off
  4. Untick Microsoft .NET Framework 3.5
  5. Click yes to continue
  6. Click close when windows finishes making the change.
  7. Restart computer.
  8. Follow the instructions in section B to reinstall .NET framework
  9. Restart computer.

If you are still having problems with .NET Framework 3.5 follow these steps:

  1. Download the attached file.
  2. Click Run
  3. Tick accept and then next
  4. Keep clicking next to the further prompts this may take some time to load
  5. When Next is Greyed out click finish.
