Catalogues are a feature in the system that allows automatic discounting of products in a sale on the POS screen. One of the various types of discounts available is the Multibuy catalogue, which tracks a set of products that a customer purchases over time, and allows them to redeem a free or discounted item after a specified number.
There may be times when a Multibuy customer does not get the right tracking recorded for the items they've purchased, and a change needs to be made (whether to add more items to the tracking to fulfill the target number, or remove them). This can be done using the Multi-buy Customers utility.
To access this screen, from the main screen of Retailer, click on Utilities in the top menu, and then Multi-Buy Customers Utility.
The grid on the left lists all the current Multibuy records for different customers, and will detail:
- Customer - Name of the customer
- Multi-Buy Promo - Name of the catalogue where this multi-buy discount comes from
- Sale - Sale stamp number of the sale containing this item for this multi-buy discount
- Quantity - Quantity of the item sold in this sale, for the multi-buy discount tracking
- Expiry - Expiry date of the multi-buy discount for this item.
The lines in the grid can be selected, and if a multi-buy discount needs to be removed, select it and press the Delete key on the keyboard. A message will appear to confirm deletion.
To the right, you can add a record for the multi-buy discount by doing the following:
- In the first box, select the customer to track this discounted item against.
- In the second box, select the Catalogue that specifies this multi-buy discount.
- In the third box, enter the quantity of the item being purchased for this multi-buy.
- In the last box, enter the expiry date for this multi-buy discount record.
- Click Add to add the record to the list on the left, and add it to the multi-buy tracking of this item for this customer.
The record that is added this way naturally won't have a sale stamp number to record against it, as it was entered manually.
