Windows 10 introduced a new feature where the last used printer is automatically set as the default printer.

This causes issues as Retailer uses the default printer for printing of reports (particularly End of Shift reports) and barcode label sheets. When the default printer changes because a different printer is used for whatever reason, they will print to that printer instead of your normal one.

To fix this, follow the steps below:

  1. Click on the Start/Windows icon on the bottom-left of your screen or keyboard.
  2. Click on the Settings button.

  3. Click on the Devices button.
  4. Within the Printers and scanners section, scroll down to the Let Windows manage my default printer option.
  5. Click on the button to set it to Off.

  6. Close the screens.
