How to Set a Default Printer

Retailer uses the default printer for printing barcode labels, End of Shift reports and also for previews of other reports. If you have problems with any of them, you should check the default printer as explained below.

These steps are applicable to Windows 11. If you use a different version of Windows, the screens and steps may be different.
  1. Close Retailer.
  2. In the bottom-left of the screen, click on the Start / Windows button.
  3. Type in 'Printers'
  4. Click the 'Printers & Scanners' option that appears
  5. Make sure the toggle for 'Let Windows Manage my Default Printer' is turned off
  6. Click the Printer you wish to Print to.
  7. Click 'Set as Default'
  8. Restart Retailer. Retailer should now print to the new default printer
