How to show / hide the Gross Profit on discount screens

In Retailer, there are various areas where a discount screen can be brought up to enter a discount for items. These screens can display useful figures relating to the discount such as before and after prices, and the Gross Profit (GP).

If the Gross Profit is giving away information on the pricing for products to staff members, that is intended to be hidden, there is an option to hide that.

  1. From the Retailer main screen, click on Setup at the top, then click into System.
  2. Click on the Other tab.
  3. Untick the box for Show Profit Margin on Discount screen, and click Save.

You may close and restart Retailer to make sure the settings update.
The option may be unticked, if the Gross Profit was hidden before, and you may tick it if you wish to have it displayed instead.

This should affect the discount screen in the following areas:
  1. Point of Sale - when pressing the Discount button, or clicking the line total to apply discounts.
  2. Quote and Invoice Management - when clicking the orange buttons to discount prices.
  3. Repairs - when adding stock to the repair using the Discount / Set manual price option.
