Newspaper publishers generally have subscription plans that provide the customer with a discounted price. The steps below will explain how to create these subscriptions within Retailer.
- From the main screen of Retailer, click on the Customer icon.
- Click on the magnifying glass to search for a customer to apply the subscription to.
- Click the Orders button at the bottom of the Customer Screen.
- Click the Add button to create a new order.
- In Stock Item, type in the PLU of the newspaper. Alternatively, press [Enter] to search for it through the Find Stock Screen.
- Click on the Setup button next to the Subscription/Plan drop-down box.
- Click on Add in the subscription screen.
- In the Details section:
- In Offer Code, type in the code for the subscription (eg. AUS26WKS)
- In Stock Item, type in the PLU of the newspaper. Alternatively, press [Enter] to search for it through the Find Stock Screen.
- In Duration (In Weeks), enter the duration of the subscription in weeks OR tick the Ongoing tickbox if there is no specified duration.
- In Charge Customer, enter a price in the first box and the select between charging the customer Once, Weekly or Issued.
- In Publisher Credit, enter the amount that publishers pay you for the subscription and select between Once Off Credit and Weekly Credit. The information here can then be viewed on the Publisher Credits report through Reports -> Newsagency -> Publisher Credits.
- In Extend If Stopped, select Yes or No to extend the subscription duration when the customer puts a stop on their order.
- In Days, tick the days that the newspaper will be supplied on under this subscription.
- In the At End section:
- In Stop At End, select between Yes or No to stop the order once the subscription period ends.
- In Delivery, select the delivery fee that would apply if the order continues after the subscription period is over.
- In Charge, select the price that customers would be charged if the order continues after the subscription period is over.
- Click Save.
