If a customer paper is missed by the delivery driver or stolen and the paper is not replaced for the customer you can enter a Delivery Miss into Retailer so the customer is not charged. Follow these steps:
- From the main screen of Retailer, click on Customers and locate the correct customer using the magnifying glass.
- Click on Menu at the bottom of the customer screen and select Non Arrivals/Misses.
- In the Stock Item field type in the PLU of the item that you wish to create the miss for.
- Select the date of the miss. Drop down the box to select the date from the calendar.
- Select the quantity of the items missed. The price will be pre-filled based on the stock item and the day of the miss but this can be changed by manually typing in the price.
- You can now elect to have a comment appear on the round card for the next day. This is a good opportunity to remind the delivery driver to deliver the paper if they missed it or throw the paper in a different location if it has been stolen. Select the date you wish the comment to appear.
- Print on (date) will use the date that was selected in step 6.
- Print Until (date) will print on the round card every day from today until the date select in step 6.
- Print Every (day) will use the day (eg Friday) of the date in step 6 and print the comment on the round card every Friday from then on.
- You have three options for how you want the comment to appear.
- You can then enter the comment you want to appear on the run in the three lines at the bottom of the screen.
- Click Save Delivery Miss and Close.
If you need to remove or change a run comment. Follow these steps:
- From the main screen of Retailer, click on Customers and locate the correct customer using the magnifying glass.
- Click on Menu at the bottom of the customer screen and select Edit / Delete Run Comments
- To delete a comment select it and click Delete Run Comment to delete.
- To edit a comment select it and click Edit Run Comment makes the changes needed and click Save.
