Customer Self-Checkout Setup - Product Lookup Screen

Setting up the Kiosk Lookup Screen

This screen is used to help customers purchase items that are either hard to scan or are unbarcoded. Think of the Fruit and Vegetable selection screens at the self-checkout registers at your local supermarkets.

  1.  From the Retailer Main Screen, click on Setup → Kiosk.
  2. At the bottom of the window, click on Setup Kiosk Lookup Screen.
  3. You will then see a screen divided into 3 sections,
    1. Tabs – Tabs are a way of grouping like items on the lookup screen together. EG Fruit, Vegetables
    2. Selected item – This is the item on the button
    3. Tab Preview – Which is a preview of what the tab looks like on the kiosk.

Adding a Button to the Lookup Screen

  1. First, you need to add a Tab. To do this, click on Add and type in the name of your Tab, eg Fruit. Repeat this for each of the Tabs you require.
  2. Then select the Tab you want to add the button to.
  3. Then in the Add item box, press enter and select the stock item you want on the button.
  4. In Button description, you can change the description if needed to be more identifiable for customers.
  5. If the stock item has an image, you can select the image that best represents the items for customers.
  6. Repeat this process to add any other buttons required for the kiosk.
  7. Once you have completed adding buttons, click on Save.
  8. If you wish to move a button on the kiosk screen, click and hold on the button you want to move, then drag it to the desired location.

Delete a Button From the Lookup Screen

  1.  To delete a button, first click on the tab where the button you want to delete is located.
  2. Then on the Tab Preview page, find the button and RIGHT-click on it. The button will then have a blue tick on it, indicating it has been selected.
  3. Click on the delete button at the bottom.
