This is for Newsagencies Only
Certain scanners need to be programmed to scan addendas (additional 2 digits that designate the issue) on magazines. If this is not set up, magazines will scan incorrectly which can then lead to errors in sales and returns.
Code-128 barcodes are used in Retailer to allow barcode scanners to detect both the barcode and the issue code (addenda) of magazines without having to change settings in the scanner.
To set up Code-128 barcodes in Retailer, the following options need to be set:
- Barcode settings in Retailer

- Enable magazines to create new issues on arrival

- From the main screen of Retailer, click on Setup -> System.
- Click on the Stock tab.
